Good morning, beautiful loves.
I looked up at the sky the other day to a VERY near full moon and thought… Oh gosh. Is it really that time again?!
While time feels like it’s absolutely flying, August has also felt like the longest month of all time. Not necessarily in a bad way though!
And with allllll of the planets that are currently in retrograde right now - in addition to Mercury we’ve also got Venus, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto doing the old backtrack dance on us - it’s no wonder why.
My understanding of the term ‘retrograde’ is this: it’s essentially when planetary orbit motion appears ‘backwards’ to us in regards to our position on earth. And when this occurs, things on earth can feel a bit delayed. Slower. Elongated.
So practically, how can we apply this to life on earth?
Personally, I’ve been loving this time of slow, juicy stillness. Rather than fighting it and trying to force myself to be productive when I genuinely don’t feel it… I’m practicing allowing myself to just be.
I mean, I even can’t bring myself to go to my regular lagree class right now… yin yoga only for me please!
While sometimes being in this slowness feels is (soooooo!!!) uncomfortable, it’s this very stillness that gives us a chance to be present with what we truly desire…. and what often comes from this, is understanding what we truly need to shed in order to see those desires come to life.
It’s a beautiful time to ask yourself:
What is it that whispers to your heart, in the deep of the night or in the very first glimmers of the morning?
What is the truth that your entire body knows… yet on paper or spoken out loud, it might sound a little crazy?
Allow yourselves to go there, honeys.
And so this full moon lunation, we’re kicking it back to the basics with our rituals:
What am I releasing or letting go of?
What am I celebrating / what is already beyond incredible in my life right now?
What feels like truth to me?
So much love,
the mindful collective
